FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you do piercings?

Sorry, I do not do piercings or anything piercing related.

Does getting a tattoo hurt?

Pain depends on personal tolerance and can also vary depending on location and size. Most people describe the pain as annoying and uncomfortable but not excruciating. It does break skin!

How much does a tattoo cost?

Pricing for tattoos depends on size, location, color, detail, and skin difficulty. Once these factors are determined, an estimate will be given.

What is your minimum for a tattoo?

My minimum for ANY tattoo, no matter how small, is $100.

What is your hourly rate for a tattoo?

Hourly rates are only given for tattoos that will take more than one session to complete. My hourly rate is $200/hr.

How long does it take to heal a tattoo?

It should take about 2 weeks for a tattoo to heal with proper care. (Detailed instructions will be given at the time of your appointment.)

How are designs determined?

Custom designs are preferred. I do not copy other people's work, but can always draw something similar. You can also bring a design in and I can work with it! It's always good to save ideas and bring them in when setting up an appointment.

Do you take walk ins or do I need to make an appointment?

I book mostly by appointment. There may be the rare occasion I can take a walk in when someone reschedules or cancels, but it would be luck of the draw.

How do I make an appointment?

Please go to the "Contact" page, or call the shop! You may or may not need to come in for an in-person consultation depending on the tattoo.

Can tattoos cover scarring?

Depending on the severity of the scarring, it is possible to cover it with a tattoo. I have worked extensively with scarring and can give you my best judgment.

Can I get a tattoo with a medical condition/allergies?

If you have any communicable diseases (ie. HIV/AIDS) I apologize, I cannot tattoo you. Please notify me of any other conditions and we can work with it. Some conditions, such as diabetes, cause healing to slow. Otherwise, it's always best to ask your doctor. Please also notify me of allergies. I use latex-free gloves.

Do all tattoos age the same?

Over time, tattoos age differently depending on sun exposure, skin care, and other external factors. The ink does spread under the skin as time passes. I will always be honest with how your design will age and steer you away from bad choices in regards to the aging process.

Are tattoos permanent?

YES! The tattoos I create are all 100% permanent. Please be wise about your choices if you don't want to end up covering, lasering, or hating your tattoo! I create the tattoo you want to the best of my ability, so please disclose anything about yourself that may affect the creation and healing of your tattoo! Thank you!
